Twitter Says Blocking Leaders Would Hamper Global Discussion

Twitter Inc. defended its decision to allow U.S. President Donald Trump’s controversial tweets to remain on the service, saying that blocking a world leader or removing their tweets “would hide important information people should be able to see and debate."
Selectively excluding certain tweets from such figures “would also not silence that leader, but it would certainly hamper necessary discussion around their words and actions," Twitter said in a blog post Friday.
