The smart-thermostat market is set to grow rapidly during the next five years, with the U.S. and Canada combining for more than 14 million annual sales by 2021, Bloomberg New Energy Finance forecasts in its Energy Smart Technologies Market Outlook. Europe’s sales are expected to peak near the mid-2020s at about 12 million a year.
