Liberian election officials are tallying results in a presidential run-off between retired soccer star George Weah and Vice President Joseph Boakai.

The National Elections Commission will release provisional results as they arrive, it said in a statement released Tuesday in the capital, Monrovia. Ballot counting started yesterday after voting was conducted peacefully, NEC Chairman Jerome Korkoya told reporters.
