Omarosa Manigault Newman, an aide to President Donald Trump and former contestant on “The Apprentice” whose responsibilities in his administration were vague, resigned Tuesday after nearly a year at the White House.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed Manigualt Newman’s decision Wednesday and said she will stay on the job until the one-year mark of the president’s time in office, on Jan. 20, 2018. “We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service,” Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.
