It began with last month’s shock detention of the interior minister’s son in a corruption sting. Simmering animosity between Ukraine’s law-enforcement bodies has since boiled over into a flurry of furious accusations and counter-claims.

The now very public sparring includes leaked tapes and a detective being locked against his will in a Kiev flat. In the latest salvo, the chief prosecutor took aim at the former Soviet republic’s main graft-busting agency, which fired back by saying it’s investigating the source of his wealth.
