High-stakes players helped drive Macau’s gaming revenue to a three-year peak in October even as regulators pushed to increase oversight of the casino industry. The VIP segment grew 36 percent year-on-year in November, driving a 22 percent increase in Macau’s overall gross gaming revenue growth, data compiled by Bloomberg show. Alvin Chau, founder and chairman of Macau’s biggest junket operator Suncity Group, doesn’t expect that tighter regulation will crimp growth of the VIP sector.
