Clean-energy activity slowed in developing countries in 2016, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s Climatescope research project released Monday. The slowing investment comes two years after the signing of the Paris Agreement and eight years after the world’s wealthiest nations pledged to make $100 billion a year available to less developed nations to address climate change. BNEF concludes there’s little to suggest that the commitment will be kept.
