Tyler Perry Halloween Movie Outdraws Warner Flop ‘Geostorm’

Tyler Perry’s latest Madea comedy outdrew a handful of other new releases this weekend, including “Geostorm,” a pricey flop from Warner Bros.
“Tyler Perry’s Boo 2! A Madea Halloween,” from Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., garnered $21.2 million in theaters in the U.S. and Canada, ComScore Inc. said in an email Monday. “Geostorm,” which cost about $120 million to make, placed second with $13.7 million.
