NATO countries need to find a diplomatic solution to curb North Korea’s efforts to build a nuclear arsenal, because an armed reaction could be catastrophic, according to the Alliance’s top international civil servant.
“What we are now aiming at is to find a political solution to the crisis in North Korea,” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with Bloomberg TV. “Military actions will have devastating effects for many, many people and therefore we have to try to avoid that.”
