Walt Disney Co. is eliminating about 200 jobs at ABC and cable networks including Freeform as part of a realignment of the business, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

The cuts are mostly falling on operational areas, such as finance, and will involve the company’s entertainment networks, not ESPN, said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing nonpublic information.
