Phil Villhauer, global head of trading at Steve Cohen’s $11 billion family office Point72 Asset Management, is leaving the firm after working for the billionaire for 15 years, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Villhauer joined the firm’s predecessor, SAC Capital Advisors, as a trader in 2002 and four years later was promoted to head of global equity trading, according to a biography on the company’s website. In addition to his most recent role, Villhauer, 52, oversaw portfolio managers specializing in trading industrial companies. The New York Times earlier reported his retirement.
