Israel Says Hamas Establishing Foothold in Lebanon, Kan Reports

The militant Palestinian Hamas group is deepening its strategic cooperation with Iran, and has established a foothold in Lebanon with its backing, Nadav Argaman, the head of Israel’s Shin Bet security agency, told the cabinet on Sunday, the Kan public broadcaster reports.

At the same time, it is readying for its next military clash with Israel in its Gaza Strip stronghold, Argaman said.
