Jared Kushner’s Rise to Power Mirrors Trump's

White House senior adviser Jared Kushner met with the Saudi crown prince and Qatar’s emir, kicking off a regional trip to explore the possibility of re-energizing Israel-Palestinian peace efforts that stalled more than three years ago.

Kushner, who is President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, was accompanied by U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Dina Powell and Middle East envoy Jason Greenblatt. They’ll head later to the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Israel and the West Bank.
