Irish Yield Premium Hovers Near France on Low Joblessness: Chart

The yield premium on Irish bonds is converging with that of higher-rated euro zone economies as unemployment holds near the lowest since the global financial crisis. Benchmark 10-year notes of the nation, rated A3 by Moody’s, have returned 1.44 percent this quarter, while comparable securities in France -- rated Aa2 -- have earned 1.06 percent. Ireland’s yield spread over bunds will continue to tighten, supported by the strong outlook for the economy, said Ciaran O’Hagan, head of European rates strategy at Societe Generale.
