The pound rose for a fourth day versus the dollar as Prime Minister Theresa May reached a governing deal with Northern Ireland’s Democratic Unionist Party, tempering concerns about political instability.

Sterling advanced against all but one of its Group-of-10 peers with the agreement providing the Premier much needed support during Brexit negotiations. Even so, the accord isn’t a full coalition and could require May to soften some of her more hardline Brexit views that could have implications for the border in Ireland.
