Famed short-seller Jim Chanos says kidney dialysis companies are headed for difficulties if lawmakers ditch so-called essential health benefits in revamping U.S. health care.

"This is one of these rent-seeking behaviors that I think is going to go by the wayside," Chanos, who founded hedge fund firm Kynikos Associates, said Tuesday at the Bloomberg Invest New York summit. “These companies have prospered in a weird way.”
