Soaring Profit Forecasts Make British Stocks Look Cheap: Chart

Even after climbing more than 20 percent from their post-Brexit vote low, British stocks are trading near the cheapest level in two years relative to European peers. That stems largely from soaring profit estimates at FTSE 100 Index members. Analysts expect earnings at the British gauge’s members to grow almost 31 percent in 2017 -- with profit at mining and energy firms more than doubling -- while forecasting only a 9.2 percent increase at Euro Stoxx 50 Index companies.
