U.K. May Start Construction of Fewer Offices Over Brexit: Chart

The construction of new U.K. offices will probably slow because of uncertainty about Britain’s future relationship with the EU, even after Prime Minister Theresa May spelled out her Brexit vision in January. Bloomberg Intelligence analysts Iwona Hovenko and Sonia Baldeira say large multinational companies studying the feasibility of moving workers to other European cities may prompt a period of uncertainty, with new projects likely to be delayed or canceled. The volume of British office construction by value may drop 5 percent this year, according to Glenigan data.
