“The 28th summit of the African Union announced in Addis Ababa the admission of Morocco as a member state of the African Union,” Morocco’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its Twitter account, without giving further details. African heads of state began a two-day summit Monday in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital.
