Berlin-based recipe-kit company HelloFresh raised 85 million euros ($88.5 million) in new funding, valuing the company at 2 billion euros -- about 20 percent less than 15 months ago.
Existing investor Baillie Gifford plus an unidentified new investor contributed the funding, HelloFresh backer Rocket Internet SE said Monday in a statement. The company will have a value of 2.09 billion euros after the new cash injection, according to the statement. Rocket Internet’s stake will decline to 53 percent from 56 percent, the company said. HelloFresh was valued at 2.6 billion euros when it received a 75 million euro investment in September 2015.
