Returns are finally picking up in a corner of the U.S. equity market that’s been overshadowed by high-flying growth stocks. A portfolio of value shares that’s hedged against influence from broader market movements advanced 1.1 percent in October, the most in more than 2 years, according to Bloomberg portfolio analytics. “Growth is being repriced and when this occurs, value outperforms,” said Abhra Banerji, director of quantitative research at Evercore ISI.
