Philippines Arrests Four More Suspects in Davao City Bombing

Four more suspects in last month’s deadly bombing in Davao City were arrested Saturday in a joint operation of the Philippines’ military, police and national intelligence agency, the Army’s office of public affairs said.

The suspects were caught in different locations in the southern city of Cotabato, where three terrorists allegedly behind the Davao blast were arrested on Oct. 4, the Army said in an e-mail. The four were members of the Dawla Islamiya Fi Cotabato-Maute Group. The Davao bombing on Sept. 2 killed at least 14 people and prompted President Rodrigo Duterte to declare a state of emergency.
