Bank of America says Ferrari will start in London in July
Bank of America Corp. named Luca Ferrari as its new head of mergers and acquisitions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as the bank seeks to bolster its advisory business in the region.
Ferrari will start in July and be based in London, Bank of America said in an e-mailed memo Thursday. He will report to co-heads of global M&A, Jack MacDonald and Adrian Mee, as well as the bank’s head of investment banking in EMEA Luigi Rizzo.
Ferrari was previously co-Chief Executive Officer of Greenhill International, a unit of Greenhill & Co. The bank announced he’d left the firm on amicable terms in October as it struggled with lagging European transactions. He has more than 25 years of dealmaking experience in the EMEA region across different sectors, also working for Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and UBS Group AG, the memo said.
In April, Bank of America expanded Rizzo’s, MacDonald’s and Mee’s roles as part of a push to give senior employees more responsibilities.
