The pound erased a gain versus the dollar after an IG/Survation poll before Thursday’s European Union referendum showed “Remain” on 45 percent and “Leave” on 44 percent.
The pound earlier reached its highest level since before the U.K. set the date of the vote amid speculation the “Remain” campaign was gathering momentum.
