Ukraine postponed a vote on a new prime minister as talks over who’d serve in his cabinet extended the worst bout of political turbulence in two years.

Parliament closed Tuesday in the capital, Kiev, without lawmakers debating the resignation of Premier Arseniy Yatsenyuk or the appointment of his proposed successor, Volodymyr Hroisman, an ally of President Petro Poroshenko and the legislature’s speaker. It was unclear when a vote will take place. Poroshenko party lawmaker Oleksiy Honcharenko warned that snap elections may follow if a cabinet isn’t approved this week.
