Tesla Trails Volkswagen Despite Diesel-Emissions Scandal: Chartby
Tesla Motors Inc. shares fell 38 percent through Friday from Sept. 18. That’s the day Volkswagen AG’s emissions scandal began. During that period, Volkswagen’s American depositary receipts slid 27 percent. Tesla, which reports fourth-quarter earnings on Feb. 10, has been slow to increase production of its Model X sport utility vehicle since deliveries began Sept. 29. On Sept. 17, half of the analyst ratings compiled by Bloomberg were buys. By Friday, that had dropped to 39 percent.
