Brahmin priests blew conch shells and chanted as they led an early morning service at the site of a bomb attack that killed at least 20 people in the heart of Bangkok’s main shopping district Monday.
Bangkok Governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra, diplomats and government officials paid their respects to the victims at the Erawan shrine, which reopened Wednesday less than 48 hours after the explosion. The service was followed by a prayer session attended by buddhists, sikhs, hindus, muslims and christians at the Central World mall opposite the shrine.
