Frank Gifford, the versatile and telegenic football player who scored on the field with the New York Giants and off as a longtime broadcaster of “Monday Night Football,” has died. He was 84.
He died today at his home in Connecticut, his family said in an e-mailed statement. It said his death was sudden while not giving a specific cause.
