Deutsche Telekom Revenue Jumps on T-Mobile US Customers

Deutsche Telekom AG reported second-quarter sales that topped analysts’ estimates as a weaker euro boosted earnings from its T-Mobile US Inc. unit, while wirelesss revenue in Germany slowed.
Earnings climbed 13 percent to 5.03 billion euros ($5.5 billion) stripping out interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and other items, Europe’s largest phone company said in a statement Thursday. Sales rose 15 percent to 17.4 billion euros. Analysts had projected adjusted Ebitda of 4.94 billion euros on sales of 17 billion euros, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
