Bernie Sanders Narrows Clinton Gap in N.H.: WMUR Poll

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton leads Sen. Bernie Sanders 42% to 36%, with 5% backing undeclared Vice President Joe Biden, according to WMUR’s Granite State Poll.
- Poll taken July 22-30 has margin of error of +/- 5.9%, prompting pollster to declare race a statistical tie
- Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley and former U.S. Sen.Jim Webb of Virginia each garner 1%, with 3% supporting some other candidate and 12% undecided
- NOTE: WMUR Granite State Poll released in May showed Clinton ahead of Sen. Elizabeth Warren 51% to 20%, with Sanders at 13%; Warren not included in subsequent polls as she says she won’t run
