Britvic Plc, the U.K. drinks company responsible for brands such as Fruit Shoot, said it will pay about 121 million pounds ($189 million) for Brazil’s Empresa Brasileira de Bebidas e Alimentos SA, gaining leadership of the world’s largest market for liquid concentrates.

The acquisition, partly funded by a sale of new shares, will give Britvic the opportunity to introduce brands such as J20 to Brazil, the sixth-largest soft-drinks market globally. Buying the company, which is known as Ebba, fits with Britvic’s strategy to expand outside of the U.K., where it still generates about two-thirds of revenue.
