JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to move 2,150 information technology jobs to New Jersey from three New York City locations as part of a broader cost-reduction plan, according to a person with knowledge of the move.

The relocation to Jersey City, which would bring the bank about $188 million in tax benefits over a decade, would occur in mid- to late-2017, said the person, who asked not to be identified without authorization to speak publicly. The lease on the property at 545 Washington Blvd. is being negotiated, the person said, and tax benefits are subject to approval.
