In the statement Trump repeats and expands on many of the ideas that offended several members of the Hispanic community.

Nearly three weeks after his controversial comments about Mexican immigrants, Donald Trump tried to set the record straight with a nearly 900-word statement released Monday.

“I don’t see how there is any room for misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the statement I made on June 16th during my Presidential announcement speech,” Trump wrote.
