For Dennis Crowley, it's always been about location.

The Foursquare co-founder's first interaction with a computer was using the graphics program Logo. Designed for children, the application taught basic programming skills—primarily by letting kids write code that would direct an on-screen "turtle" to draw lines and shapes. "I was pretty advanced," says Crowley.
