Cevian Builds ABB Stake to Become Second-Biggest Shareholder

Cevian Capital AB has built a 5.1 percent stake in ABB Ltd., making the Swedish investment company the second-biggest shareholder in the world’s largest maker of power grids.
Cevian’s shareholding breached the 5 percent mark on Monday, according to a regulatory statement. While Cevian’s stake has now leapfrogged that of Blackrock Inc., the Stockholm-based company still owns fewer shares than Investor AB, a holding group controlled by Sweden’s billionaire Wallenberg family, Bloomberg data show.
