Corporate CEOs Too Busy for EU Lawmakers Probing Tax Loopholes

Executives from 13 companies including Barclays Plc, Amazon.Com Inc. and McDonald’s Corp. rebuffed invitations to a European Parliament hearing probing low-tax deals for big businesses.
Only Total SA confirmed its attendance at a June 23 session, according to a document obtained by Bloomberg compiling the answers. Excuses for not attending included short notice for the invitations, ongoing probes and travel commitments.
