Saudi Partnership Mulls Vancouver Grain Export TerminalSimon Casey
A Saudi Arabian company and commodity trader Bunge Ltd. are considering the construction of a terminal at the port of Vancouver that would help them export grain from western Canada.
G3 Global Holdings, a partnership between Saudi Agricultural & Livestock Investment Co. and Bunge, said Tuesday in a statement that it had formed a joint venture with Western Stevedoring Co.
The venture will evaluate the feasibility of a new terminal at Lynnterm West Gate in Vancouver.
In April, G3 agreed to acquire a majority stake in the former Canadian Wheat Board for C$250 million ($200 million).
