Elliott Hires Shohet From Citigroup as Operating Chief

Elliott Management, the hedge fund firm run by billionaire Paul Singer, hired Zion Shohet from Citigroup Inc. to become chief operating officer.
Shohet will report to Jon Pollock, co-chief investment officer, the New York-based firm said in a memo, a copy of which was obtained by Bloomberg News. His role takes effect July 13.
