When Robert Day, best known for founding asset management firm TCW Group, started Cypress Funds in 1969, the idea of a “hedged fund” was a new and esoteric concept.
Forty-six years later Day is embarking on a plan to revitalize his fund, one of the oldest still in existence, and making his return to the business of money management, according to Cypress Funds President Peter Carlton.
