Aflac Inc., the largest provider of supplemental medical insurance, will seek to replace Kriss Cloninger as chief financial officer by the end of June.

Cloninger, 67, will remain as president of the Columbus, Georgia-based insurer, and plans to stay on until at least age 70, Chief Executive Officer Dan Amos said Thursday in a briefing with analysts. Deputy CFO Ken Janke withdrew his name as a possible replacement, Amos said.
