India’s top court dismissed a petition filed by billionaire Anil Agarwal’s Hindustan Zinc Ltd. that challenged penalties imposed for not meeting renewable targets.
The verdict was passed by a two-judge bench on May 13. The company had challenged a regulatory order to purchase a minimum amount of renewable energy for its power plants.
