Ex-Christie Ally Wildstein Cooperating With U.S. in Bridge Case

Guilty plea would be the first conviction in the 16-month Bridgegate scandal.

David Wildstein, a former ally of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, is cooperating with federal prosecutors investigating traffic jams he ordered near the George Washington Bridge in September 2013.

An assistant U.S. attorney at Wildstein’s guilty plea hearing Friday in Newark revealed that he is assisting with the probe.
