Podemos Undermined by Philosophical Differences as Founder Quits

Spain’s anti-austerity party Podemos is being undermined by differences of political philosophy between its main architects, General Secretary Pablo Iglesias said, as the party’s No. 3 resigned from the leadership.

Iglesias said in an interview late Wednesday that his academic differences with Juan Carlos Monedero, who founded Podemos alongside the party leader, are still provoking disputes and those differences are becoming a problem for their party. Twenty-four hours later, Monedero had resigned.
