American Water to Buy Environmental Disposal Wastewater

American Water Works Co., the largest publicly traded water company in the U.S., is acquiring a New Jersey wastewater system provider, the utility said Thursday without disclosing financial terms.

American Water filed a petition with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and will complete the purchase of Environmental Disposal Corp., an investor-owned wastewater utility, on its approval, it said in a statement.
