JPMorgan’s Ex-China Chief Joins King & Wood Mallesons

Zili Shao, JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s former China chairman and chief executive, is joining King & Wood Mallesons as co-chairman of the law firm’s China management committee.

“We look forward to Zili joining the firm,” King & Wood Mallesons’ China managing partner Wang Ling said in a statement today. Shao, who was named JPMorgan’s Asia-Pacific vice chairman last year, had been Asia managing partner of law firm Linklaters before joining the bank in 2009.

JPMorgan spokeswoman Marie Cheung declined to comment.

(Corrects Linklaters role in second paragraph.)
