Delta Air Lines Inc. can keep its route between Seattle and Tokyo, U.S. regulators said, rejecting American Airlines Group Inc.’s request to claim the rights to fly to the Japanese capital’s close-in Haneda airport.
The decision Friday by the U.S. Transportation Department lets Delta retain one of only four slots at Haneda granted to U.S. carriers. Delta, which fought to hold onto the authority, said it agreed to the department’s condition that it operate the flights year-round.
