Kik Adds Tools to Prevent Child Exploitation on Messaging App

Kik Interactive Inc., which makes a messaging application popular with younger users, is taking steps to make sure they aren’t exploited while using it.
Kik is adopting Microsoft Corp.’s PhotoDNA technology to detect and delete any child pornography, and has joined a global anti-child-abuse organization called the Virtual Global Taskforce, the Waterloo, Canada-based company said Tuesday.
