Kleiner Partner Says Queen of Internet Shows Women Fare Well

Not everyone makes it at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, but one woman who did is known as “Queen of the Internet” for her command of the online business world, a managing partner testified at a trial over claims the venture capital firm discriminates against women.
Junior partners are expected to stay for four or five years before moving on to operating positions at other companies, Ted Schlein told jurors Friday. Ellen Pao, who is suing Kleiner claiming she was a victim of a male-dominated culture, lasted about six years.
