Lenovo Group Ltd., the world’s largest maker of personal computers, disabled preloaded adware known as Superfish on some notebook products after customers complained, citing security concerns.

Lenovo investigated the technology, which scans Web-browsing data to tailor advertising to users, and said it found “no evidence to substantiate security concerns.” The Beijing-based company stopped preloading the software last month and said it won’t preload it in the future.
