Jose Liberman and his son Lenard built Estrella TV into the fourth-largest Spanish language network in the U.S. in a little over five years.

Now their Liberman Broadcasting Inc. is picking a fight with the biggest player in TV, Comcast Corp., owner of NBC and the competing Telemundo network. They’re mounting an underdog ad campaign to win fees for their programming and get distribution beyond 16 of the cable company’s markets.
